How Share of Cost Can Affect an IHSS Provider Check

When an IHSS recipient has a Medi-Cal share of cost and that amount is unpaid, CDSS says it can be deducted from the provider warrant. The recipient then pays the provider that amount. The State check is not always the full authorized wage. Ask the county Medi-Cal office for the share-of-cost amount before you treat a warrant as complete pay.

The warrant is not always the whole story
