San Joaquin Valley IHSS in Fresno County
Fresno County sits in the San Joaquin Valley. Families here sometimes hear that “the Valley has its own home care program,” or they borrow a Tulare County or Madera County number from a relative. IHSS is still California’s Medi-Cal home care program. CDSS administers it. Fresno County social services takes the local case when the recipient lives in Fresno County. DHCS administers Medi-Cal.
